The Valley Community Center is closed for all meals, health related services and social activities in accordance with the “Stay At Home” mandate in Washington State. The Senior Round Table is currently delivering 45 meals to area seniors and delivering 37 meals to seniors home bound. All at a suggested donation of $4.00.
If you need a meal delivered to your home, call and leave a message at The Senior Round Table office phone at 509-758-3816 for Chrystal and she will add you to the schedule. If you are home bound and not on the regular delivery schedule, again call the office and leave a message for Chrystal.
We do not expect the Center will be open for business until likely June 1st and the opening might even be later. Everyone stay safe and if you have to go out, wear a mask, scarf, or cloth covering for your face, and stay a minimum of 6 feet away from other people. If you need food, and you have a computer, you can Google Walmart and make up an order and when you are notified your order is ready, drive to the Clarkston Walmart, go to the pickup area on the south side of the building, park in one of the reserved parking stalls, call the number on the sign on the wall and someone will bring out your order, usually with just a couple of minutes. You can order food, produce, toiletries, Kleenex, soap, and other essential items. This works great.
As we are closed, the Center is currently suffered from a lack of income. Anyone that can make a donation to help the Center pay its normal ongoing bills, you can mail a check payable to The Valley Community Center at 5495th Street, Suite F, Clarkston, WA 99403-3158. Any amount would be greatly appreciated, but donations of $100-$500 would really help. The Center is an IRS 501c-3 non profit and your charitable donation can be written off on your IRS taxes for 2020 if you file long form.
Any questions about the Center or its closing, call the office at 509-758-4064 and leave a message for Heather.
